SUSAN YORK IN "EDGE OF VISIBILITY"

INTERNATIONAL PRINT CENTER NEW YORK

Edge of Visibility was curated by Susan Tallman in conjunction with the September-October release of the journal Art in Print of which she is the editor-in-chief.  As the title of the exhibition suggests, it gathers works of art that are intentionally hard to see.  Visitors must truly be engaged to experience the works and therefore become conscious of the act of looking.  The lithographs of Susan York in the exhibition require visitors’ eyes to adjust to detect small changes in hue.
